Sebastian's Food & Wine

Sebastian's Food & Wine takes up a wide corner on Hampton Street with two assets dog owners care about: a large enclosed rear courtyard and outdoor tables under the verandah out front. It runs 7am to 3pm daily, so it is firmly a breakfast and lunch operation, with takeaway coffee doing a steady trade from locals on the way to the beach end of Hampton Street.

The enclosed courtyard is the pick with a dog because there is no foot traffic to manage, and it is sheltered enough to work on days when the bay wind picks up. Indoors stays dog free as usual.

The menu leans all day cafe fare, with avocado smash and the chicken sandwich among the regular orders, plus a wine list that earns the food and wine part of the name for later bookings. It is the sort of menu that keeps both a coffee run and a proper lunch in the same visit. Parking runs along Hampton Street and the side streets, and it is an easy walk from the beach end of the suburb, so most people arrive on foot with the dog already warmed up.
