Banana Blossom Frenchs Forest

Banana Blossom is a casual salad bar in the Forestway Shopping Centre precinct at 18 Forest Way, built around fresh, Asian-inspired bowls and quick counter service. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it an easy fresh-lunch stop between dog walks on the Northern Beaches side of Sydney.

Keep your dog leashed and clear of the walkway between the tables and the shops, and aim for mid-morning or early afternoon to land an outdoor table before the lunch rush.

The kitchen leans healthy and generous: fresh salads and rice bowls with solid vegetarian and vegan options, served fast over the counter rather than table service. That makes it a quick refuel stop rather than a long linger. Trading runs roughly 10am to 3pm, but published hours vary between sources on Sundays, so confirm before a special trip.

The cafe sits within the Forestway Shopping Centre precinct, with free on-site parking and step-free access from the car park, handy if you have a pram or an older dog alongside.

Close by with the dogs

The fenced off-leash areas at Frenchs Forest Showground are a short hop away, including a separate enclosure for small and shy dogs. Currie Road Dog Park is another nearby fenced option. Leave Garigal National Park off the plan: NSW National Parks rules prohibit dogs there entirely, even on-lead. Behind the Beans is the suburb's other dog-friendly coffee stop.
