Kremma

Kremma is a neighbourhood cafe on the corner of Tennyson and Scott Streets in Elwood, a block back from the main strip, and it has quietly become a fixture on the local morning dog-walk route. The corner position gives the footpath tables a bit of breathing room, which matters when you are settling a dog at your feet.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath tables, and the cafe is genuinely dog-keen rather than merely tolerant; water is very likely on request, though bringing your own bowl is still the safe play. As with most Victorian cafes, the indoor seating is for patrons only. The corner site means passing dogs and prams, so a settled, leashed dog suits the setup.

The vibe

It is a small, well-made menu for breakfast or a quick bite, with the coffee and the welcoming staff drawing the praise. It runs daily through the mornings into early afternoon, around 7am to 2pm on most days and slightly earlier on Sundays, so it is a morning habit rather than an all-day destination.

Getting there and parking

Free street parking runs along Tennyson Street and the surrounding blocks, though Elwood streets tighten up on sunny weekend mornings. For locals it is an easy walk, and the cafe slots naturally into a loop that takes in the water.

Close by with the dogs

The Elwood Beach Dog Off Leash Area is the obvious pairing, with sand access rules that shift between the cooler months and the summer time windows. The Bay Trail from Elwood to Sandringham stretches the morning out along the water, and Jerrys Milkbar is an Elwood institution for the return leg.
