Imbue Cafe

Imbue Cafe is the cosy local brunch spot in the small Yindela Street shopping strip at Davidson, on Sydney's Northern Beaches side of the bush, listed on dog-friendly directories and rated 4.6 by its regulars. The staff actively welcome dogs, which is why the courtyard fills with walkers on weekend mornings.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the courtyard seating at the back of the strip, on lead and settled beside the table. Ask for the courtyard when you order at the counter and bring water for your dog on warm days. The strip is compact and parking is at the door, so there is no long footpath trek with a hot coffee in hand. Hours run 7am to 4pm on weekdays and to early afternoon on weekends.

The list is classic suburban brunch done properly: breakfast and lunch plates, hot chocolates that get a mention in their own right, muffins and fresh juices. Reviewers call out the friendly crew repeatedly, which matters when you are a dog owner looking for a place that will not sigh at the sight of a leash.

Getting there and parking

Yindela Street sits in the middle of Davidson's residential pocket, a few minutes from Frenchs Forest and the Wakehurst Parkway, with parking right at the shops. The suburb backs onto Garigal National Park, so bushwalks are close by rather than long drives away.

Close by with the dogs

The Currie Road Dog Park at Forestville is the nearest off-lead option, the Frenchs Forest Showground gives you open space for a ball session, and Behind the Beans is another dog-friendly coffee stop nearby.
