Pantry eleveneleven

Pantry eleveneleven is a modern corner cafe on Carlton Parade, open 7am to 3pm every day of the week. It has built a following in Sydney's St George area on the strength of its daily-baked muffins and all-day breakfast, and the outdoor courtyard and street-side tables welcome dogs, which makes it one of the few sit-down dog-friendly options in the strip.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor courtyard tables and the front street-side seating. The cafe posts reminders on its socials about keeping dogs on leash and close to your table so staff and other diners stay comfortable. Indoor dining is for humans only under standard health rules, so this is a fine-weather arrangement. There is no dedicated dog menu or water station advertised, so bring a bowl and tie the lead to your chair, not a walkway rail.

Worth knowing

The muffins are the headliner, mixed fresh daily in combinations like raspberry and banana, and they sell through the morning. Beyond the cabinet there are saffron pancakes, corn and zucchini fritters, and a Mediterranean bowl, plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices across the menu. Coffee is treated seriously, with iced lattes and dirty chais alongside the espresso line. Service runs from an open 7am, so early dog walkers can land a courtyard table before the breakfast rush builds around 8:30.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 56 Carlton Parade, Carlton, a short walk from Carlton station on the Illawarra line, which suits walkers arriving with a dog on lead. Street parking runs along Carlton Parade and the surrounding residential blocks, busier mid-morning on weekdays. The footpath approach is flat and pram friendly as well.

Close by with the dogs

The Carss Bush Park fenced dog park is a few minutes' drive away for an off-leash run before brunch, and the Fry's Reserve fenced dog park covers the Kogarah side. If the courtyard is full, Sweet Marie's Cafe up the road is another Carlton option.
