The Oarhouse

The Oarhouse is a relaxed riverside cafe at the end of Milne Street in Bayswater, right next to Riverside Gardens, and it has become the natural coffee stop for the off-leash crowd heading to or from the beach.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, which looks straight out over the Swan River. Water bowls are typically put out for dogs. Keep your dog on a leash here, the tables sit close to open pathways and the riverbank.

Known for. River views, a cinnamon scroll and brekky bap worth ordering, and being the obvious stop before or after a run around Riverside Gardens next door.

Getting there. The Oarhouse is at 130 Milne St, Bayswater WA 6053. Street parking is available but gets tight on sunny mornings when the gardens are busy, and it is an easy walk along the riverside path from surrounding streets.

Nearby with the dogs. Riverside Gardens is next door for a proper off-leash run, on both the open beach side and the fenced exercise area. The Swan River foreshore path continues well past the gardens for a longer walk.
