The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the footpath seating out front on Mair Street. It is street-side dining only, so dogs stay outside on the path. Staff are friendly to dogs, but bring your own water bowl, this is a quick-turnover spot and bowls are not a given.

Good to know. The reuben is the standout, alongside bagels, melts and a rotating sandwich board. It runs hot through the weekday lunch window, so service is fast but the footpath tables can fill.

Getting there. It sits on Mair Street in central Ballarat, with street parking on Mair and the side streets, busy in business hours. Easy to fold into a walk through the Sturt Street gardens nearby.

Best for a quick weekday lunch when you want food in hand and a dog at heel. Good if you would rather walk and eat than settle in.
