Joyce Park

Joyce Park sits on Jasper Road and Tyrone Street in Ormond, next door to McKinnon, and its off-lead paddock ringed by a gravel path makes it easy to walk laps while your dog runs. The rest of the park is on-lead.

Leads and the off-lead area

Glen Eira City Council has made the eastern side of the Tyrone Street entrance an off-lead area, an open grass space about 125 by 70 metres. The playground area and the western end are on-lead.

Even in the off-lead zone, dogs need a lead within 20 metres of barbecues, picnic areas and playgrounds.

The walk

Paved footpaths wind past a shaded, solar system themed playground, a white wedding rotunda and the historic Box Cottage, looked after by the Moorabbin Historical Society. Mature trees shade the edges, while the open middle is exposed.

A tap with a dog bowl sits in the south-east corner of the off-lead area, and bins are spread through the park. Street parking is on Tyrone Street.
