Goornong Recreation Reserve Walking Track

A gravel path circles the Goornong Recreation Reserve on Bagshot Street, making an easy country-town loop past the sports ovals and the community playground. Dogs come along on lead.

The walk

The track is flat gravel all the way round, so it is easy going for most dogs and their people. You get open views across the ovals, with the playspace along the way.

Lead rules

The reserve is run by the City of Greater Bendigo. Keep your dog on lead on the track, and follow any signs at the ovals and playground.

Max: Match days bring crowds and loose footballs. Keep the lead short when the ovals are busy.

When to go

Mornings and evenings are cooler in summer, and quieter when there is no sport on. Bring water for the dog, and it suits older dogs who like a steady, flat walk.
