Glendenning Reserve

Glendenning Reserve off Dublin and Richmond Streets is the suburb's sports ground, with a walking path around its edge. It is a straightforward on-lead neighbourhood loop, busy with cricket in summer and football in winter.

Lead rules

Blacktown City Council manages the reserve, and it is not on the council's list of off-lead areas. Dogs stay leashed on the path and the surrounding grass.

The walk

The concrete and asphalt path wraps around the playing field, past open grass, a playground and tennis courts. It is flat and easy going for dogs of any age.

Established trees around the edge give some shade, and there are tables and seats for a breather.

Getting there

There is off-street parking near the reserve. There is no dog water station, so bring a bottle and bowl.

Coffee on sight in neighbouring Dean Park is close for a takeaway.

Weekday mornings are quietest. On game days, walk before the teams arrive, or keep to the far side of the field.
