Reflections Bonny Hills - Holiday Park

Reflections Bonny Hills is a beachside holiday park perched on the headland at 920 Ocean Drive, overlooking the white sand of Rainbow Beach on the NSW mid north coast. It's dog friendly year-round, but the catch is real: only designated options take dogs, so the site type or cabin you pick at booking decides whether your dog can come.

Dogs at the park

The park's own dog-friendly code of conduct sets the rules. Dogs are welcome on selected dog-friendly powered and unpowered sites and in allocated dog-friendly cabins - not all cabins or glamping tents qualify, and dogs are completely prohibited in the non-dog-friendly ones. Maximum two dogs per approved booking, and you must declare them at booking: arriving with an undeclared dog can cost you the booking and the money paid. Outside your site or cabin, dogs stay on a lead under two metres, are never left unattended, and are banned from amenities blocks, camp kitchens, playgrounds and pool areas. Clean up immediately and use the bins provided. No size limit is published, and pet fees aren't listed, so confirm both at booking.

The park and the beach

It's a large, well-rated park with camp kitchens and laundry facilities and the coast at the fence line. The bonus for dog owners is the beach itself: off-leash sections run along Rainbow Beach from Duchess Creek north to Middle Rock, so a morning run on the sand is part of the stay rather than a drive away.

Getting there and parking

Ocean Drive is the coastal road between Port Macquarie and Laurieton; the park sits in Bonny Hills about 25 minutes south of Port Macquarie. Parking is at your site or cabin.

While you're out there

The Lake Cathie Middle Rock boardwalk continues the coastal walk north of the off-leash section, and Bonnys Beach Cafe is the local coffee stop in the village nearby.
