The Cosmopolitan Hotel, Trentham

The Cosmopolitan Hotel is a rebuilt 1866 country pub on High Street in the middle of Trentham, and its big drawcard for dog owners is the beer garden under a canopy of century-old elm trees.

When to go. Weekday lunches and early evenings are quieter than weekend nights, when the garden fills up. Good for a relaxed pub stop after a walk.
