Gordon Street Reserve

Gordon Street Reserve sits in Springdale Heights, just north of Lavington, and the reason to come is simple. AlburyCity lists it as one of its designated off-leash areas, a local patch where dogs can run and socialise legally.

Leads and the off-lead area

Dogs may be off lead here, under effective control. It is a shared community space with a dirt pump track and a small natural play area, so call your dog in when bikes or children are about.

What's there

The ground is grass with natural dirt paths, scattered trees and some shaded spots. There is seating, a shelter and a barbecue.

Dog water and bag dispensers are not a sure thing, so carry both.

Max: Riders come off the pump track fast. Keep your dog well away from the track while it is in use.

For a walk on lead afterwards, the Oddies Creek Walking Path and the Noreuil Park Foreshore Promenade are both in Albury.

Street parking is right beside the reserve. It suits a quick neighbourhood run more than a destination outing, and quieter times make recall easier.
