Old Ghan Museum and Tearooms

The Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve has shaded leash-friendly walking trails a short drive north, and Emily and Jessie Gaps Nature Park offers short leashed walks a bit further southeast.

Go in the cooler morning hours if you're walking a dog through the outdoor exhibits, the shed roofs offer shade but the open yard gets hot by midday.
